“Ripe for the picking, add this delicious superfruit to your menu on National Avocado Day on July 31st! While guacamole is grand, don’t settle for just the chips and dip on this food holiday. Since avocado is so versatile, clear the table for the entire meal. That includes everything from the appetizer and main dish all the way to dessert. On National Avocado Day, this tree grown fruit has them all covered! Avocados are more than a staple food in the American diet; they are proven to be a key ingredient in recipes for both inside the body and on the body! According to the Hass Avocado Board, as of 2015, avocado consumption in the United States doubled since 2005 and quadrupled since 2000. In fact, a whopping 4.25 billion avocados were sold in the U.S. in 2015. That’s four point two five billion of this amazingly beautiful food.”
My notes: I love avocados! I make ‘pudding’ with it & it’s quite good. I did try it in my hair, along with banana, many years ago, but it was very hard to wash out so never again lol

Love avocados and lots of ways to use and eat them. I'm good with just cutting it in half and eating with a spoon:-)
And, a bonus is they're loaded with good fats...does your body good, inside & out!

"National Mutt Day encourages us to embrace, save and celebrate mixed breed dogs twice a year on July 31st and December 2nd. Desperately longing for a new home, millions of loving and healthy mixed breed dogs in shelters wait for someone to come and adopt them. National Mutt Day provides an excellent opportunity to find the perfect canine companion. Despite the name, a mutt learns, obeys and trains much like purebred animals. While their lineage cannot be traced and their features a bit murky, their companionship will be faithful."
My notes: Mutts come with their own quirks. I rather have a dog that is unique in looks & personality.

I have only had one purebred dog and the rest were all mutts.

Mutts are the very best pets, loyal to a fault and more intelligent than they're given credit for

"July 31 is World Ranger Day and honors the dedication, and crucial work rangers do every day around the globe. The day offers an opportunity to show support to rangers for the services they provide. Today, thank a ranger for their unwavering commitment protects our national parks, wildlife, and forested heritage. Park rangers hold a variety of roles. As the front line of preservation and conservation, all park rangers are integral to national park systems. In the United States, the National Park Service (NPS) employs rangers to provide both law enforcement and cultural and educational services. Around the world, a park ranger’s role may vary depending on the environment they serve."
My notes: What do you think of Park Rangers? Do you think they do a good job? Do you think they should do more? I know some jobs are held back by "bigwigs" & would like to see the actual workers have more of a say in their job.

Overall they do a good job and I have nothing but kudos for them. Unless you were Ranger Roy Sullivan who got struck by lightning SEVEN times!
